Commodore Mahbub-Ul Hakim, (S), ndc, psc, has been serving in the Bangladesh Navy for nearly three decades since his commission in 1996. His career is a mix of staff, instructional and command experience, including key appointments as Director of Budget and Director of Naval Supply & Transport at Naval Headquarters, and Command of the School of Logistics and Management (SOLAM) as well as BSD (Navy), Khulna. Beyond the Navy, he served in Directorate General of Defence Purchase, Dockyard and Engineering Works, Narayanganj, and Special Security Force. Commodore Mahbub is an alumnus of the Defence Services Command and Staff College, Mirpur and the US Naval War College. He is also a graduate of National Defence College, Bangladesh. His specialized training includes Logistics Management Advanced Course in Pakistan, Advanced Close Protection Course and Advanced Weapons Training in Poland, Port Planning & Infrastructure Course in the Netherlands, and the International Leadership Executive Advanced Development Course in Rhode Island, USA. His international experience extends to serving as a Military Observer in the United Nations Mission in Liberia.
