Brigadier General Mohammod Al Masum, PBGM, ndc, psc, was commissioned in the Corp of Infantry with 24th BMA Long Course. He served number of East Bengal Regiments both in Chattogram Hill Tracts and plain land. He is a graduate from Defence Services Command and Staff College, Mirpur who served as Staff Officer grade two of a newly raised Infantry Brigade and Staff Officer Grade-1 in Staff Duties (SD) Directorate, Army Headquarters. He attended ‘SSLP’ run by the Cranford University of London and Defence Academy, UK. He served as Pioneer Battalion Commander, Training Battalion, EBRC and was pioneer in evolving NRTC. He earned ‘Distinguished’ grade as Chief Instructor while serving in prestigious the East Bengal Regimental Center. He held the experiences of serving both the Head of the State and Head of the Government of Bangladesh as AD, SSF. He also served as Region Commander, BGB South-East Region. For his outstanding operational performances and recognition, he was awarded with prestigious ‘President Border Guard Medal’ (PBGM). Brig Gen Masum had the opportunity of commanding twice a Bangladesh Infantry Regiment. He participated in UN Peace Keeping Operations both with the Contingent and as a Sector Commander of a multinational sector (Sector East) under UNMISS, South Sudan. He also Commanded an Infantry Brigade in the southern part of the country. Brig Gen Masum is a graduate from NDC, Mirpur. Presently he is serving as Deputy Director General, DGDP.
